Meet Dr Michael Cook, DMD, P.A.
Dr Michael Cook has been on-the-go both professionally and personally for more than two decades, accomplishing one feat after another with no signs of stopping any time soon. His ambition, talent, and sense of personal excellence has allowed him to excel and prosper when others would have certainly fallen behind. Dr Cook is a testament to hard work, dedication, and a real love of community. From charity work to sports, Dr Michael Cook is a genuine role model to his children, his friends, neighbors, and the entire Treasure Coast.
History
In 1989 Dr Cook received his undergrad degree from the University of Florida. Afterwards, as a naval officer, Dr Cook served in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. After leaving the Navy Dr Cook returned to the University of Florida where he earned his degree in Dentistry. That was in 2002, and if the past 10 years is any indication, Dr Cook's influence will continue to be felt for many more decades.
In 2002 Dr Cook joined the Southport Dental Care practice, then owned by Dr Fox. Four years later Dr Cook purchased the practice, brought on a third Doctor, and grew the practice into one of the finest in all of South Florida, providing a wide array of dental services to the Treasure Coast.
Every year Southport Dental Care, under the direction of Dr Cook, provides free dental care to the low-income families in the area. In 2010 Southport Dental Care provided more than $60,000 of pro bono services as one of the ways Dr Cook gives back to the community.

Why We Do It
The practice of Dentistry is not the most glorious job in world. Yet each of us are here at Southport Dental Care because we love what we do. Our state–of-the-art facility utilizes LOW radiation digital x-rays which have 95% less radiation (as compared to traditional x-rays), 3D scanner camera imaging and the highest quality materials to ensure the best possible result.
